LIVE-SPORT-RADAR – Chrome extension
Installation and use on a PC

What is it?
-----------
Live-Sport-Radar shows which live sport is on right now and what is coming up on
which German TV channel – with live scores, a world map, tennis draws and world
rankings. The extension runs in Google Chrome (also in Microsoft Edge or Brave).
The extension itself is in German; the German labels are quoted below.


1. INSTALLATION (once)
----------------------
1. Unzip the ZIP file (right-click > "Extract All").
   This creates a folder "live-sport-radar". Do not delete this folder –
   Chrome loads the extension directly from it.

2. Type into the Chrome address bar:  chrome://extensions
   (in Edge: edge://extensions)

3. Turn on the "Developer mode" switch at the top right.

4. Click "Load unpacked" and select the folder "live-sport-radar".

5. Pin the extension to the toolbar:
   Click the puzzle icon at the top right, then click the pin next to
   "Live-Sport-Radar". The red radar icon appears next to the address bar.

Note: When starting, Chrome occasionally shows a notice about extensions in
developer mode. This is normal and can be ignored.


2. USE
------
Icon in the toolbar
  - A red number on the icon shows how many events are live right now.

Click on the icon (small window)
  - "Jetzt live" (live now): current broadcasts and matches with scores
    (updated every 15 seconds).
  - "Als Nächstes" (up next): upcoming events with time and channel.
  - At the bottom: "Dashboard mit Karte öffnen" (open dashboard with map)
    for the large view.

  - Choose the sports at the top ("Alles" = all, Tennis, Football, Motorsport ...).
  - World map: where games are being played right now, with local time and day/night.
  - Tennis: live matches, tournament draws (singles, doubles, qualifying)
    and world rankings. In the draw: mouse wheel = zoom, drag = move,
    click on a player = highlight their path through the tournament.
  - Football: switch "Karte / Spielstände" (map / scores) with all games of the week.
  - Daily schedule ("Tagesprogramm"): timeline per channel, change the day with the arrows.
  - Click on an event: details and "In Kalender eintragen" (add to calendar, .ics file).

Settings (gear icon at the top right)
  - Select and deselect your own channels and sports.
  - Switch between light and dark.
  - The settings are only saved in this browser.


3. UPDATING

For a new version:
  1. Replace the old folder "live-sport-radar" with the new one.
  2. Open chrome://extensions and click the round arrow (Reload) on
     "Live-Sport-Radar".
  The version number is shown directly below the name of the extension.


4. REMOVING
-----------
Open chrome://extensions and click "Remove" on "Live-Sport-Radar".
The folder can then be deleted.


5. NOTES
--------
- An internet connection is required for the data.
- When opened for the first time, loading the TV schedule can take up to a minute.
- All times are given in German time (Europe/Berlin).
